The President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council and the President of the United Nations General Assembly are co-convening a meeting to update the international community on the progress the FACTI Panel has made since its establishment. The virtual meeting will take place on the side lines of the UN’s annual ministerial gathering on sustainable development, the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).
The FACTI Panel Co-chairs will inform participants about the overall approach and initial ideas of the Panel. The event will also include a moderated discussion with Ambassadors, civil society and private sector representatives. It will be live webcast on the FACTI Panel’s website. The invitation from the President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council and the President of the United Nations General Assembly is also available.

The HLPF side event will take place on 10 July 2020 at 12:15 pm (EDT) [click here to find the time in your local time zone]. The Panel is also organizing a virtual consultation with Member States on 21 July 2020 at 10 am.
