FACTI Panel briefing to Southern European think tanks

Following the publication of its final report, the FACTI Panel would like to present its work to policy experts and analysts from major think tanks and research centres in Southern Europe which would, in turn, allow them to introduce the perspective and proposals of this UN initiative into national agendas.

The Panel will also seek their views as to the priority actions to gain political momentum for promoting its recommendations on financial accountability, transparency and integrity in order to achieve the 2030 Agenda. Specifically, the FACTI Panel will solicit the opinion of policy experts and researchers on how to best harness the Panel’s work. To this end, the meeting will seek to identify:

1. Key stakeholders who would be willing to follow-up and to disseminate the work of the FACTI Panel.
2. Messages, strategies and next steps to enhance public debate on  the issues covered by the FACTI Panel and foster the development of adequate policy by European governments and institutions.
