The FACTI Panel hosted a second virtual consultation with UN Member States. Held on 21 July 2020, it was another chance for the Panel to interact with Member States, inform them about the overall approach of the Panel, and solicit comments and feedback on its initial ideas. Almost 70 people participated in the meeting, and 10 delegations made statements.
A video and a summary of the virtual meeting are available. Many Member States highlighted the critical importance of the work of the FACTI Panel especially in light of the current global crisis and the urgent need to increase resource mobilization. The Panel is now working on preparing its interim report based on its own analysis, the background papers by expert consultants, extensive inputs from stakeholders, and consultations with various institutions, bodies and groups of Member States.
